Enjoy a leisurely paddle down the Ohio River. We'll take in the sights and sounds of this working river with a closer look at Brunot Island and Chartiers Creek as we paddle 6 miles downriver to the head of Neville Island. There we'll step onto PittsburghWaterLimo's Miss Pittsburgh for a wine and cheese social. We'll let the Miss Pittsburgh do the work of paddling upstream while we enjoy a repast of breads, wines and cheeses on the deck. Minimum age 21.

The major rivers in southwestern Pennsylvania are fun and friendly places for recreation because of the system of locks and dams. Without the locks and dams, many of the water-related activities and events shown on these pages would not be possible on the three rivers. Visit the Port of Pittsburgh Commission site

A summer day on the Allegheny River can be much like a day on a calm lake.
